The human gut contains trillions of bacteria. Thats called our Microbiota. The genome of all these bacteria as a collection is called the Gut Microbiome.
These bacteria process the food and drink we consume. The higher the diversity of the bacteria, the better the chances we process a variety of foods, the lower the chances of us developing conditions and disease, the healthier we are.
Our stool is a representation of our gut bacteria. In fact, 50 to 80 percent of our stool (excluding water) is actually bacteria that had been living in our gut.
Each of our gut microbiomes are different based on factors such as age, gender, race, where and whom we live with, and our food habits.
Be it gut conditions such as Acid Reflux, Crohns disease, Celiac disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and Leaky Gut or other health concerns such as low energy, brain fog, stress, anxiety, low libido, and low strength - they are all connected to our gut.
To understand your gut, first get your gut microbiome tested by ordering a Floro gut microbiome kit from our website at florohealth.com or directly from this app.
The test is an at-home stool test. The test kit has everything you need including a collection tube and a return mailer. Once you mail back your sample to our lab for analysis, our lab will sequence your gut microbiome to uncover all the various bacterial families in your gut and their abundance levels. This is done by a team of high trained and experienced microbiologists and dietitians based on the most advanced research and science.
You will receive a report of 30+ markers for conditions and disease, along with diet recommendations to address those markers.
Consuming foods and drinks that our gut microbiome cannot process leads to health conditions and disease. Managing what we eat (and excrete) based on our gut microbiome is therefore paramount to healthy, long living.
Also, now, use Apple Pay to buy test kits from the app and connect your Apple Health app to see how your gut health affects your sleep and calories burned from resting and activity.
